The Coen Brothers are re-teaming with No Country For Old Men producer Scott Rudin for a film adaptation of Michael Chabon's novel The Yiddish Policemen's Union. The story sounds straight out of a Coen Brother's film. It is about Jewish settlers who are about to be displaced when the U.S. government turns their home over to Alaskan natives. Within that setting is a murder mystery about a rogue cop who investigates the killing of a heroin-addicted chess prodigy who might be the messiah. The Coens will begin work on the project once they wrap A Serious Man.
