I just realized that no only did Daniel Day Lewis not win best actor but There Will Be Blood was no where to be found on the NBR list. I have read that it is an entirely mean spirited and ultimately strange movie but I expected it to at least make the list of the ten best. I have heard though that the reactions to the film has also been completely polarizing, with people either loving it saying it is takes a place on the mantle of great American films, or people hating it and everything about it.
