This is from Awards Daily. It is excerpts from various newspapers with reactions from NBC's telecast of the Golden Globes. I was luckily told to avoid the glorified episode of Access Hollywood and watched the sad little news conferences pretending to be and awards show on CNN (which had it's own problems, i.e. Larry King). My favorite quip is Billy Bush's reaction to Cate Blanchett winning best supporting actress. Head over to their site to read more reactions.

Amy Amatangelo at the Boston Herald starts us off by observing, “And the loser is… everyone.” She wastes no time pin-pointing one of the most cringe-inducing reasons:
Nancy O’Dell and Billy Bush, anchors of the NBC-produced “Access Hollywood,” announced the winners from a podium on a goofy TV set, with added commentary from ‘AH’ entertainment reporter Shaun Robinson and Dave Karger of “Entertainment Weekly.”
Yay to Dave Karger, by the way, the only touch of class NBC could find to populate its game show set, with that (symbolic?) spiral staircase to nowhere serving as shallow backdrop. But Karger was outnumbered by his co-hosts who did their best to out-numb each other.
The worst moments were the on-the-spot commentaries from O’Dell and Bush. When Cate Blanchett was announced as Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for portraying Bob Dylan in “I’m Not There,” Bush was clearly annoyed. “I’m a little bit shocked here to be honest with you,” said Bush, who was rooting for Amy Ryan in “Gone Baby Gone.” “At the end of the day, it’s a woman imitating a man.”
And at the end of the day, Billy Bush is a discourteous lummox imitating an insolent oaf. As the Seattle Post-Intelligencer points out:
Typical moment of wit: “Imagine a guy named Hamm being an actor,” Bush quipped after announcing Jon Hamm’s win for best drama actor for Mad Men.
